History Of The World: Part 1" (1981) is a film that was produced and directed my Mel Brooks. It is a humorous look back at history with parodies ranging from the dawn of man to the French Revolution. It also includes a preview of the History Or The World: Part 2. Anyone with a decent grasp on history will laugh throughout the movie since its peppered with historical references. Even the title refers to Sir Walter Raleigh who was only able to complete the first volume of his History of the World Book prior to being beheaded. Therefore do not expect Part 2 to come out. That is fine since this movie provides so many laughs and each time you watch it you notice new frames of reference.
