This is the funny story of how the lives of several people from all lots in life that intersect one night. The story follows a mysterious suitcase that is given to Arthur Herk (Stanley Tucci). Arthur is a jerk husband and shady businessman who has a hit placed on him. Arthur’s daughter, Jenny Herk (Zooey Deschanel) and wife, Anna Herk (Rene Russo) have given up on him because he would rather lust after their housekeeper, Nina (Sofia Vergara). Arthur, Jenny, Anna, Jenny’s boyfriend Matt Arnold (Ben Foster), Matt’s father Eliot Arnold (Tim Allen), Nina and Nina’s treetop admirer Puggy (Jason Lee) all end up as hostages one night when thugs, a hitman, and arms dealers show up looking for the case. Police Officers Monica Romero (Janeane Garofalo) and Walter Kramitz (Patrick Warburton) are added to the mix when they try to save the day. Now the group is on a crazy journey to stop a bomb and rescue the hostages.
